Signs of a faulty part

Installation information

Mounted in the coolant circuit with hose connections and an electrical connector — bleed the cooling system of air after installation.

Frequently asked questions

This is intentional — on turbocharged engines, residual heat in the turbo after shutdown can cause oil to coke inside it without continued coolant flow, so this pump keeps circulating coolant for a short period to cool it down safely.
