The EGR valve controls the flow of recirculated exhaust gas into the intake, opening and closing based on engine load and temperature to balance emissions and performance.
Match a used EGR valve by reference, actuator, flange and connections. The EGR cooler or a complete combined assembly may be a separate product. Check the listing contents and any adaptation requirement with the workshop. A recirculation-related fault code does not, on its own, prove that the valve must be replaced.
If you notice any of the following, the part likely needs replacement:
Rough or unstable idle
Check Engine light with an EGR fault code
Hesitation or stalling, particularly at idle or low speed
Installation information
Bolts to the intake manifold or a dedicated mounting point with a new gasket, and connects to the wiring harness or vacuum line.
