Is it dangerous to drive with this module faulty?

Depends on the affected function — loss of central locking control raises security concerns and should be repaired promptly; window or mirror faults are more of an inconvenience.

Can this module be repaired instead of replaced?

Given the precision electronics involved, full unit replacement is typically the standard approach.

What is the module made of?

A sealed electronic circuit board.

Signs of a faulty part

If you notice any of the following, the part likely needs replacement:

Multiple functions on that door not working (window, lock, mirror)
Diagnostic fault code related to the module itself
Central locking master control lost

Installation information

Mounted inside the door, connecting to the door wiring harness — requires the door panel to be removed for access.

Frequently asked questions

This module handles all the electrical functions for the driver’s door, often including the master switches for other windows/mirrors too, so a fault here can affect multiple functions across the vehicle simultaneously.

No complaints about Evro Trans itself, everything's fine. But the delivery..... It felt like the order was being carried by turtles. 4 days from Riga to Daugavpils. Judging by the tracking, the parcel just sat somewhere behind a shed for 3 days, then they found it and delivered it the next day. I think that's why I won't be ordering there again.

Bought a front fender for my car. I liked it! After payment they sent more than 20 photos of the problem areas, and it was packed very securely - took a while to unwrap.
