Is it dangerous to drive with a damaged fuse box?

Yes, given how central this component is to the vehicle’s electrical protection system, this should be treated as a serious fault and repaired promptly.

Can this fuse box be repaired instead of replaced?

For minor issues, a specialist auto electrician may be able to repair specific damaged contacts, but a badly damaged box needs full replacement.

What is the fuse box made of?

Durable, heat-resistant plastic with internal metal contacts.

Signs of a faulty part

If you notice any of the following, the part likely needs replacement:

Multiple electrical circuits malfunctioning
Visible melting, corrosion, or damage to the housing
Fuses not seating securely

Installation information

Mounted in the engine bay or dashboard — requires careful transfer of all fuses to the new housing, or connection of the wiring harness.

Frequently asked questions

If the housing itself is cracked, corroded, or has damaged internal contacts (sometimes from overheating), individual fuse replacement won’t fix the underlying problem — the whole box needs replacing.

No complaints about Evro Trans itself, everything's fine. But the delivery..... It felt like the order was being carried by turtles. 4 days from Riga to Daugavpils. Judging by the tracking, the parcel just sat somewhere behind a shed for 3 days, then they found it and delivered it the next day. I think that's why I won't be ordering there again.

Bought a front fender for my car. I liked it! After payment they sent more than 20 photos of the problem areas, and it was packed very securely - took a while to unwrap.
