Signs of a faulty part

If you notice any of the following, the part likely needs replacement:

  • Difficult cold starting, especially in winter
  • Check Engine light with a glow plug fault code
  • Excessive white smoke on cold start

Installation information

Routes from the glow plug relay/module to each cylinder’s glow plug — check for secure, correctly seated connectors after installation.

Frequently asked questions

Both a bad wiring connection and a failed glow plug can produce the same symptom (hard cold starting), so a mechanic will typically test the wiring’s continuity before condemning the plugs themselves.

  • No complaints about Evro Trans itself, everything's fine. But the delivery..... It felt like the order was being carried by turtles. 4 days from Riga to Daugavpils. Judging by the tracking, the parcel just sat somewhere behind a shed for 3 days, then they found it and delivered it the next day. I think that's why I won't be ordering there again.

  • Bought a front fender for my car. I liked it! After payment they sent more than 20 photos of the problem areas, and it was packed very securely - took a while to unwrap.
