Can I fit the version without a speaker instead of the one with?

Not recommended if the factory wiring is set up for a speaker connection — it would need extra adaptation.

Is a fault here a safety issue?

No, it’s not critical to safety.

Plastic with an acoustically transparent grille over the speaker.

No complaints about Evro Trans itself, everything's fine. But the delivery..... It felt like the order was being carried by turtles. 4 days from Riga to Daugavpils. Judging by the tracking, the parcel just sat somewhere behind a shed for 3 days, then they found it and delivered it the next day. I think that's why I won't be ordering there again.

Bought a front fender for my car. I liked it! After payment they sent more than 20 photos of the problem areas, and it was packed very securely - took a while to unwrap.
