Signs of a faulty part

If you notice any of the following, the part likely needs replacement:

  • Parking brake doesn’t engage or release when the button is pressed
  • Button feels loose or doesn’t respond
  • Warning light indicating a parking brake fault

Installation information

Clips into the dashboard or console, connecting to the electronic parking brake control module — verify correct engagement and release after installation.

Frequently asked questions

This can be the button itself, but electronic parking brakes have several safety interlocks (like requiring the brake pedal or a specific gear), so it’s worth confirming the release conditions are met before assuming a button fault.

  • No complaints about Evro Trans itself, everything's fine. But the delivery..... It felt like the order was being carried by turtles. 4 days from Riga to Daugavpils. Judging by the tracking, the parcel just sat somewhere behind a shed for 3 days, then they found it and delivered it the next day. I think that's why I won't be ordering there again.

  • Bought a front fender for my car. I liked it! After payment they sent more than 20 photos of the problem areas, and it was packed very securely - took a while to unwrap.
