The parking sensor control module processes distance data from all the ultrasonic sensors and manages the audible warning and/or display output for the driver.
If you notice any of the following, the part likely needs replacement:
No warning from any sensors despite them appearing to function
Inconsistent or delayed warning behaviour
Diagnostic fault code related to the module itself
Installation information
Mounted centrally in the bumper area, connecting to all sensors and the display/buzzer via the vehicle wiring harness.
Frequently asked questions
If multiple or all sensors fail to produce any warning simultaneously, the shared module processing their signals is a more likely cause than several individual sensors failing at once.
