Signs of a faulty part

If you notice any of the following, the part likely needs replacement:

  • Boot won’t open or close
  • Lock doesn’t respond to the key or button
  • Lid doesn’t sit flush or rattles

Installation information

Usually a straightforward job — bolts to the boot lid with the factory screws; check alignment with the striker on the body afterward.

Frequently asked questions

Often the lock mechanism itself is binding, not the electrics — check it for corrosion or a broken part.

  • No complaints about Evro Trans itself, everything's fine. But the delivery..... It felt like the order was being carried by turtles. 4 days from Riga to Daugavpils. Judging by the tracking, the parcel just sat somewhere behind a shed for 3 days, then they found it and delivered it the next day. I think that's why I won't be ordering there again.

  • Bought a front fender for my car. I liked it! After payment they sent more than 20 photos of the problem areas, and it was packed very securely - took a while to unwrap.
