Signs of a faulty part

If you notice any of the following, the part likely needs replacement:

  • Switch won’t change position, or doesn’t reflect the actual airbag status
  • Airbag warning light indicating a mismatch or fault
  • Switch requires excessive force to operate

Installation information

Mounted in the dashboard or glovebox area, connecting to the airbag control module — verify correct operation carefully given the safety implications.

Frequently asked questions

An active airbag deploying into a rear-facing child seat can cause serious injury, while a disabled airbag failing to deploy for an adult passenger removes crucial crash protection — this switch controls a genuinely safety-critical decision.

  • No complaints about Evro Trans itself, everything's fine. But the delivery..... It felt like the order was being carried by turtles. 4 days from Riga to Daugavpils. Judging by the tracking, the parcel just sat somewhere behind a shed for 3 days, then they found it and delivered it the next day. I think that's why I won't be ordering there again.
