Signs of a faulty part

If you notice any of the following, the part likely needs replacement:

  • Excessive lever or pedal travel before the parking brake engages
  • Uneven parking brake application (pulls to one side, or one wheel not holding)
  • Cable visibly frayed, seized, or corroded

Installation information

Requires adjustment per the manufacturer’s procedure after installation — check for smooth, unrestricted movement along the full cable length.

Frequently asked questions

If one cable has seized or stretched more than the other, that side won’t apply as much braking force, causing uneven engagement between the two rear wheels.

  • No complaints about Evro Trans itself, everything's fine. But the delivery..... It felt like the order was being carried by turtles. 4 days from Riga to Daugavpils. Judging by the tracking, the parcel just sat somewhere behind a shed for 3 days, then they found it and delivered it the next day. I think that's why I won't be ordering there again.
