Is it dangerous to drive with a failing bracket?

Not critical immediately, but a rear light that isn’t securely and correctly positioned should be repaired for both weather-sealing and appearance.

What is the bracket made of?

Durable plastic or metal, depending on the vehicle.

Can a cracked bracket be repaired instead of replaced?

For a small crack, adhesive can work temporarily, but replacement is more reliable.

Signs of a faulty part

If you notice any of the following, the part likely needs replacement:

Rear light rattling or sitting at an incorrect angle
Visible crack or corrosion on the bracket
Water ingress into the light unit from a poor seal

Installation information

After installation, check the light is securely mounted and correctly aligned with the body panel.

Frequently asked questions

The light unit can shift or sit poorly, which can affect the seal against water ingress and create an uneven gap with surrounding bodywork.

No complaints about Evro Trans itself, everything's fine. But the delivery..... It felt like the order was being carried by turtles. 4 days from Riga to Daugavpils. Judging by the tracking, the parcel just sat somewhere behind a shed for 3 days, then they found it and delivered it the next day. I think that's why I won't be ordering there again.

Bought a front fender for my car. I liked it! After payment they sent more than 20 photos of the problem areas, and it was packed very securely - took a while to unwrap.
