How often should the rear wiper blade be replaced?

Usually once a year, or when noticeable streaking appears — the rear wiper is used less than the front, so it lasts longer.

Is a fault here a safety issue?

Not directly, but poor visibility through the rear window makes reversing manoeuvres harder, especially in rain or snow.

What’s the blade made of?

A rubber strip on a metal or plastic frame.

Streaking after the wiper passes
The blade misses patches, leaving them unwiped
Cracked or hardened blade rubber

Installation information

Frequently asked questions

Most often the rubber has aged and hardened from sun and weather exposure — it loses elasticity and no longer sits flush against the glass.

No complaints about Evro Trans itself, everything's fine. But the delivery..... It felt like the order was being carried by turtles. 4 days from Riga to Daugavpils. Judging by the tracking, the parcel just sat somewhere behind a shed for 3 days, then they found it and delivered it the next day. I think that's why I won't be ordering there again.

Bought a front fender for my car. I liked it! After payment they sent more than 20 photos of the problem areas, and it was packed very securely - took a while to unwrap.
